Our Mission and Vision
mission
The mission of Alexander Graham Middle School’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is to assist every student in acquiring skills, knowledge, and attitudes to maximize the potential in the areas of academic, career, and social-emotional development. This happens through diverse educational experiences, collaborative partnership of counselors with students, educators, families and our community, with the intention of our students becoming successful members of a global society. |
vision
A quality School Counseling Program is comprehensive, developmental, systematic, clearly defined, and accountable. American School Counseling Association (ASCA) standards serve as an organizational tool to identify and prioritize the elements of our school counseling program. These standards also provide the opportunity for accountability in assessing the effectiveness of the program. The Alexander Graham School Counseling Program is determined by the academic, career, and personal/social developmental needs of students. Because students’ school success depends upon the cooperation and support of the entire faculty, staff, and student services personnel, Alexander Graham places counseling at the core of school planning, school programs, and the school environment. |
